just did these for an advertising student at my school its for a energy drink ad campaign. they didn't turn out to bad for the limited time.

it's taken a while...

it has, i look at where i came from and i never in my wildest dreams thought i would get to see this day in my life. it has taken a long winding path for me to get here. i have all my family and friends to thank ( anyone who is close knows you're family to me as well). for their support and enthusiasm. my life is much like a sponge that i take in so much of all the many friends/family feelings and best wishes. i did this for me. but mostly i did it for you. you are the reason i never missed a class and pushed myself with little too no sleep as not to let any of you down. i love you all, and thank you for all your support- luv n8gee

ROCKET SHIP!

My 5 yr old nephew Bryce asked me last month to make a painting of him in a rocket ship, i told him i would when i was done with school. and here we are 2 weeks left 3 till graduation. it's been a long tiring journey. thanks for all of you for helping me and being understanding along the way. I did this piece tonight at my local pub Tradr Sams, it's just a rough sketch that he will totally dig as a painting!

Annabell Lee By Edgar Allan Poe

For my Honors Portfolio class with Kazu Sano we were given a handout with 3 songs and a poem and asked to illustrate it. i chose the Poe poem and this is it. watercolor and gouache.


It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me-
Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,

Giants Magazine Contest!

One of my class assignments for Kazu Sano's Honors Portfolio class is to do a magazine cover of a famous person. But we could if we wanted tried to do a spot illustration for a contest for the San Francisco Giants magazine, a portrait of Giants majority owner Bill Neukom. So I chose that assignment. Just finished the painting around 2:30 am and here it is. I kinda wanted to do a charicture and give a shout out to the big head shirts of the late 80's of sports stars, mixed with the children's books style of my work. Hope you dig!...
